Yes God could have done that, but we know from science that it didn't happen quite that way. The 7 days of creation (six if u want to be exact) could have been metaphors or allegories. When I read genesis, that is exactly how I see it, not that God didn't create, but that we are given a representation of something our finite minds can grasp (and our ancestors could also grasp) as opposed to the almost mind-boggling amount of information science can now provide us about the origins of our universe nowadays.
The accounts of science and what is recorded in genesis actually link up very well indeed.

We do not know that God's "day" is the same as our 24-hour day. In fact, in some translations from the original Greek texts of the Bible, "day" is sometimes translated using a word with a longer connotation like "age." Whatever the actual time elapsed, it was a miracle. This is where faith comes in my friend.

I guess it must be, after all they say god created ours in 6 days and on the 7 day he rested. Not to sure about that equation though. I believe in god, but not sure he did that. Maybe he did though.

that story was written by the jews(i think) and to them 7 means perfect, outstanding, everything you could ever want, so they say it was created in 7 days because it was perfect - hoped that answered your question.

He did it in 6, and rested on Sabbath!

with alot of time and effort yeah i can.. depends if i want to...
anything is possible if you put your mind to it... i guess god had a plan and a tight schedule so had to do everything in 7days...
whether you believe it is another question... but yeah it could be possible...
