Ants don't mate at ALL. Only the queen in a colony mates and lays eggs. The rest just have basic tasks to fulfill, like finding food, or taking care of the eggs or the queen.
Bees are the same way.

Most ants mate but once in life.
My queen had a packet implanted in her by the ONE male in our colony. Having served his duty, he died.
My sisters were all born of that one mating.

Life! Death! What's the difference when you're an ant? Someone could easily just walk right up & squash you!!

If i could desire to point a minor exchange it may be the 2nd line interior the 2nd stanza, a beat too long i think of. you may desire to probable bypass over the be conscious "sparkling" without sacrificing something from the poem. relaxing artwork, I truthfully have in simple terms like an "ant ball" in my head now--i ask your self what form of song they'll pay attention to?
