Oh man, I've been looking forward to this game all season. Sucks that I can't go though (snow). Both teams are pretty banged up;

Detroit: Zetterberg, Maltby, and Holmstrom are out.

Colorado: Sakic, Sauer, and Arnason are out. Ryan Smyth, Leopold and Richardson are "possible" a new term made up by Quenneville, lol.

The advantage in injuries goes to the Avs, mainly because Leopold, Richardson and Smyth have been upgraded to "possible". The Avs are also playing at home, where they have excelled this season. Although the Pepsi Center will probably only be half-full (5" of snow on the ground right now, 8"-10" expected). The Red Wings are also playing their second game of a back to back. Everything seems to be in position for an Avs win, but I am in doubt. So who do YOU think is going to win tonight?

Also let me add that the Wings are the best team in the NHL and the Avalanche are the 4th best team in the NHL.

pricehill: LOL, you call 5-0 wearing a team out? I think the Blues thought they were still on Christmas vacation, hehehe.

Zam: I can assure you I won't be bragging if the Avs win, and I won't be making excuses if they lose. I will however be bragging if the Avs beat them in the playoffs, oh boy, I'll brag my @ss of lmao.

I know you didn't direct that question at me Zam, I just wanted to point out to some people that I never said that. The question did concern wings-bashing, and I'm kind of "known" for that, lol. Just wanted to say that it's not something use when bashing them. Who needs "one line team" when I have "weak division"? lmfao jkjk that division has gotten much stronger. It's not free points anymore and yet they're still doing good. I'm surprised. Props to them.

I don't think anybody wants me to answer this because the exact opposite will happen, but here we go:

Wings 4/Avs 2 - Avs go empty-net

Just in case the St. Times Forum collapses, or they cancel the game because killer bees are living in the Jumbo Tron, or a riot happens.....you'll know why, because I am going to the game tonight.

I am assuming that Hasek is starting in goal tonight as OZZY had a shutter last night. That gives the Avs atleast 1 softie, maybe 2. Should make for an interesting game and I will be watching. This rivalry needs to heat up again!

Well, lets put it this way. I have 2 detroit players on my fantasy team. I am playing both. I also have 2 Colorado players, and I am benching both.

I say detroit wins 2-1 (with both goals by datsyuk shorthanded assisted by lidstrom)

cliche answer for this year especially but the Wings are unstoppable this year in the Reg Season....not making any bold statement about Postseason though, reg season wins mean nothing there. But as for tonight, Wings 4-2

EDIT:
Wait, Hales already got 4-2....I'll say 5-3 then lol

A better question would be, were there more Wings or Avs fans at the Pepsi Center?

We can only be assured two things by this game.

Whoever wins, their fans will be on here bragging about how much better of a team they are...........

And whoever loses will have plenty of ammo in the excuse department to counter it.

No prediction from me on this one.

Wings, 6-3

I'm a Red Wings fan. I watched them dominate the Blues last night 5-0. It wasn't even that close. These guys are on a mission this year.
Your right-should be a great game. The Wings are so deep they rested the top two lines in the third period last night-Lidstrom got the least playing minutes in the past two years in any game he has played. So, they are ready.
Watch Flippula and Cleary.
