Well alot of people seem to have gotten the 2007 should be 2008. Congrats on the engagement. Now although a full moon might have been more romantic to some a new moon is not bad at all. Just think about this:
New Moon - new beginnings (death of old way, birth of new way)
Waxing Moon - growing good, sprouts
Full Moon - full height, fruition
Waning Moon - weeding out bad

A new moon is a very poetic way to start a new life with your love.

I hate to tell you, but today is December 27 of 2007. Do you mean 2008, possibly? In any event, I can't see the connection between a new moon and getting married unless there is some type of superstition surrounding it. Even so, why let your life be determined by superstition and folklore? There is no reason you can't get married on a date when a new moon appears, or any other phase of the moon, for that matter.

why would it be bad luck because i have never heard of that theory!!!

and yes, i would change the d8 just in case!!!

ooh, wait!!!

You may have heard that getting married during a full moon will bring the two of you luck and much happiness during your marriage.

The real meaning is that at the time of each full moon a bridge of contact and communication is established between humanity and higher centers, thus building a unique channel between humanity and God, the Source of Life and the universe.

At the time of each full moon, the moon is blocked by the light of the sun in such a way that the transmission of the sun is direct and not disturbed by the moon. Getting married during a full moon creates a setting for the two of you to begin your new life together when the alignment of all the planetary and solar centers is in its highest state of sensitivity and contact.

Your question's alittle late. august 30, 2007 was a couple months ago. If you meant 2008. then no it isn't a bad luck or good luck thing. If you are in love nothing else matters.

Yeah... I'm assuming you meant 2008.

Hell, I think that you should play it up!!

"A new life started on a new moon!"

Make it a theme... Do it all in Navy and Silver... "Moon" colors! LOL!

It will only be bad luck if YOU make it bad luck...

If you use it as a positive then it can only enhance the situation!

Congratz!

You might want to change the date because August 30, 2007 already happened.

no dude personally i dont believe in luck, it is only good luck or bad luck if you believe in it, cause only then will your actions be persuaded by either you being subconsciously cautious, or confident. so just tell yourself that there is no such thing as luck and enjoy the new moon, i think that is rather romantic starting a new life on a new moon.

Of course not. All that will happen is giant demented unicorns will come out and rape your chihuaha while the bridesmaids sing stevie wonder. And since August 2007 has happened already, I wouldn't worry about it. Your dog might need therapy though.

It's only bad luck if you believe it will be (self-fulfilling prophecy). If you're worried, know that it's irrational, but change the date otherwise subconsciously you may thwart your own happiness.

And then, work on being less superstitious. How can astrology work when they keep discovering new planets?
