I used to pay $.10 a cricket at my local pet shop, since i started ordering online, i can buy 500 of them for only $19.50 [AFTER SHIPPING!]

If i was to buy that many in a store, i would be paying about $50.

If you're a rugular buyer, online shopping can save you lots of $$$

Good luck

Frozen Pinkies

I have been using The Mouse Factory for online purchase. It is cheapest to buy a large quantity and try to splint the shipping with a buddy. I have used Rodentpro before and didn't like the quailty of feeders I received. I like the no feces consistant sized prey items from TMF best. They look as though they had a bath and were fluff dried before shipping. They also are packed very well.

You can find frozen pinkies at many small franchised pet stores. I don't think places like Petsmart or Petco sell frozen pinkies so you may have to look for smaller stores in you area. If you get frozen pinkies try not to buy them in bulk because the longer they are frozen the more they lose on nutritional value. Also thy can be easily become frost bitten and are no longer edible or even that healthy for that matter. When you thaw them be sure not to use boiling water or even really hot water since this will be kind of like cooking them. Your snake will want raw food not cooked food. Putting them at water a little warmer than room temperature can speed the thawing process about as fast as it will go. DO NOT MICROWAVE THEM!! They explode... =[ In my opinion.. live pinkies are most likely the best choice for food! But its tough to find a pet store that sells them. Petsmart and Petco do not sell live pinkies and the local franchised stores around me (such as Petland or Pet Supermarket) are no longer allowed to sell them due to PETA. Your best bet will be to check in on little mom and pop pet stores around you or to get them online. They sell fast though due to the fact that they are often hard to find. The only other option is to breed. Since breeding requires about 4 or 5 females to every male mouse and they breed rapidly, this would not be recommended. Also breeding can cause a very heavy stench of mouse feces! Yuck.. I'm actually not familiar with online purchases and I might be hesitant to try that. Sorry =\ Good luck!

Do NOT freeze live pinkies yourself! It is both cruel and inhumane to do so. Professional companies euthanize them with C02 and then freeze them.
I get mine from the Cheese Factory--fast, fresh, and the lowest prices I could find.
