The media says that people are reading less and less for pleasure, so I want to know if that is true.

I just bought a book called "The Thirteenth Tale" by Diane Setterfield. I only got it last night, so I'm not far into it yet.
I just finished reading "Wuthering Heights" for about the twentieth time. lol.

(Maybe *some* people are reading less and less for pleasure, but not me, that's for sure. I'm a voracious reader.)

The Price of Salt by Patricia Highsmith.

Originally published in 1952 and rumoured to be the inspiration for Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita, it is the story of a young sales clerk, Therese, who become obsessed with an older, sophisticated woman, Carol, who comes into her store to buy a Christmas present. It's considered a lesbian cult classic and is unjustly unrecognized because it's a great read.

I'm reading O. Henry-Complete and Unabridged: The Fiction. I'm on the first story collection called Cabbages and Kings.

If people are reading less and less for pleasure, you can't tell it by my family!

Before I started studying, I finished a quite funny Louise Rennison book, after reading Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger

"The Cure of Souls" by Phil Rickman, 4th in his Merrily Watkins series. I read a lot and work in a library so I can get all the books I want. I think older people read more than younger, who are more into electronics.
