ive had my xbox 360 elite for about 7 or 8 months and while i was playing it started making this realy weired noise like the parts were rubbing against eachother so i turned it off and turned it back on and now it wont read any discs and on xbox live i tried 2 send a message with my mic and it wont let me send voice messages only texts if this has happened to anyone else please tell me how u fixed wat was wrong with it and how much it costed 2 have it repaired.

they wer trying to charge me about 250 to repair it when it happend to mine.
but i just bought a new one :D

Does it have a red ring aka red ring of death? It would be located around the power button and instead of green (for however many controllers there are hooked up to your xbox) it will be solid red that blinks. If so Microsoft extended the warranty for a red ring of death for 3 years. If you do have this problem you will have to call Microsoft and complain about it. It will take you a while because they make you jump through so many hoops and might take more than one attempt until they ship you a box so you can send it in.
If you only have had it for 7-8 months then it should still be covered under warranty if you don't have the red ring of death. For this I would still call Microsoft. The number is 1-800-4MYXBOX
Good luck, I know how much it sucks to not have your 360 for a while =[. If you are lucky they will send you a month free of xbox live for the inconvinience.

Your xbox is less than 1 year old. It should still be covered under warranty. Contact Microsoft.

dude thats your in basic terms maximum suitable decision going to wal mart dont attempt fixing it your self it in basic terms wont artwork I ought to purchase a sparkling motherboard unfotunately cus ive gotten all the pink ring of deaths the e seventy 4 =1ring 2 ring = overheating 3ring= thats for the 4 cushions on the backside of the motherboard in case you ever get a 4 ring moving into circles ur ****** lol yet i fastened all of them yet i in basic terms have been given the e74 this is a situation because you ought to re use and re use this glue all the time and it in basic terms waistes my money and my time so im in basic terms quiting video games and getting a life quite.... thats why we ought to continuously all in basic terms get ps3's =D no issues =D
