I took my 8 year old son to a game against the Pirates last summer,we had great seats and I told him that we were going to get a foul ball, well he was running around the concourse and Rick Ankiel was up as Luck would have it the first foul ball hit that day was coming my way,as I stood up to make a play it sadly sailed over my head only to have it hit off one guys hands and through another guys hands,to fall into my vice-like grip.my son soon came back and I showed him the ball,he was so excited,O'yea Ankiel went on to hit 2 HR's and have 9 Rbi's,and also made a diving catch.I will never forget that as long as I live.By the way that's the 3rd ball I've gotten at a game,1 was at the WS in 87,it was a HR ball, sadly it was from a Minn.Twin, never the less I still have that ball, heck I still have all 3.

My most memorable was the final game of the regular season for the phillies. It was the best game ever...
If the Mets won and Phils lost, the Mets made the postseason
If they both won/lost, they had a tie breaker
If the Phils won and the Mets lost, the Phils made the postseason
Well, the Mets started at 12 for some reasson, and the Phils at one
Let me tell you, the Marlins had the best inning of their lives that day - the Mets were down 7-1 by the time the Phillies started. They won that game, and clinched the playoffs - literally, last second. Brett Myers threw the final pitch for a called 3rd strike to make the playoffs for the first time in 14 years.
I can never forget that day

Being a Red Sox fan, of course I'm tempted to say that my favorite game was the game 4 of the World Series. However, I'm going to go with a different one...there was a game back in April when the Red Sox hit four back-to-back(-to-back-to-back!) homeruns against the Yankees at Fenway Park. The Red Sox were down 0-3 and then with 4 wonderful swings of the bat...they went ahead! I was beyond excited. That game was memorable for me because it was the first "big" game of the season the Red Sox had. (Since you're a Yankee fan, I hope you won't kill me for saying that was my favorite moment of the season! Ha ha.)
Edit: Clay Buchholz's no-hitter against the Orioles was pretty great as well.=)
Happy New Year!

I was at Yankee Stadium for Game 5 of the 2001 World Series. Brosius' homer in the ninth tied it and the Yanks won it in 12 innings. I won the tickets for the game that same afternoon and took my son. Neither of us are Yankee fans, but it was an incredible moment. On TV: Carlton Fisk's home run in the 12th inning of Game 6 in 1975. The end of Game 6 of the 1986 World Series. Bucky Dent. Fenway. 1978. Kirk Gibson, Game 1, 1988. Jack Morris, Game 7, 1991. There's really too many on TV.

The game the Mets played against the Nationals on September 25. They were down 10-3 with one out in the bottom of the ninth, and then they rallied for 6 runs. But they left the tying run on third when Lo Duca swung at the first pitch he saw and popped out to shallow right to end the game.

Wrigley Field in June against the brew crew. Down 5-0 after the 1st inning, my Cubs rallied and won 6-5 after a walk-off 2 run homer in the 9th with 2 outs. Everyone was going nuts. Wrigley is electric even when we lose...then energy was amazing.

The game where my son's team was short-handed and most of them got hits in all 5 innings and almost came back to win in a 21-18 loss with only 7 players!

Opening Day. The Royals took it to the Red Sox and Meche looked like he was well worth the $55 million dollar contract he earned. That game gave me hope that Dayton Moore has the team moving in the right direction and I can't wait to see another improved KC team this year.

Game 7. Sox vs. Indians. When the sox were down 3-1 in that series it really did look like it was over. Josh Beckett was unreal this year.
