I wouldnt leave him alone. Thats when hes most vulnerable to do weed, because he feels insecure about life and hes lonely, plus he feels safe when hes not doing it in front of people. I would continue to talk to him, but no alone. I would gather like 3-4 people and talk to him. Give him an intervention. If he doesnt listen after a long talk, then i dont think you should be his friend anymore. And let him know that too.

If you are really, really worried that he could harm himself or someone else.. tell his parents or have your parents tell his parents. Most would say that this is crossing the line, but if you feel that he might go a little further than a little bit of casual smoking... someone should probably know about it. You should of course ask his parents for anonymity.

You could try talking to a trusted adult. If you are genuinely worried that what he is doing could cause harm to himself or others, then getting his parents involved might be necessary. You could wind up losing your friend over this, but if it prevents him from hurting himself, then its worth it. If he is a decent person, he will eventually forgive you. It is not tattling if it keeps him from harming himself or getting into legal trouble.

The risk of being stupid on weed in low, because weed makes you lazy. I have lots of friends like that, eventually they calm down. Weed makes you paranoid.

Tell him that he doesn't need weed to be happy and that he shouldn't be doing stupid things. Tell him that you care about him and try to distract him from these bad things.

i fyou care about your friend that much, try explaining to them hat they could make a bad decision and they have poor judgement of the coming new year. its a time to change, they could try and quit, but ive heard its hard to put something they think is so good down.

welp try and get him to stay at your house maybe...if he doesnt want to listen let him do what he wants i know you care about him but he has to make descions on his own...weed makes you clam paranoid and laugh alot the only way hed get in real trouble is if he gets busted with it.
