Sure, any guy wouldn't mind having a nice car or a big house with cool stuff inside. It displays your wealth and power. But in the end, a guy just want's to grab a beer, relax and have fun with his buddies.
Women though are the ones who take money to the extremes. Their always shopping for new things and are constantly competing with one another (who has the bigger house, who has the best looking man, who looks more 'fat', who makes more money, who has more things, who looks more sexy, etc etc) Plus, we've all seen the news reports, heard the stories, we even see it happen on T.V. and in movies:
Women murdering their husbands, fathers, or some other relative so they can claim an inheritance
A guy just don't really care about that, well maybe he does, but guys typically aren't constantly competing with one another.

I don't know that women are more naturally attracted to money but I think that we are biologically hotwired to choose a partner that is going to be best able to provide just as men are biologically hotwired to be attracted to women who are most likely to provide healthy offspring - the things that are considered attractive are all signs of good health and there is the hip/waist ratio (I think it's 0.7 that's considered perfect). You see it throughout the animal planet and, lest we forget, we are animals.
The other stuff that you mentioned has nothihng to do with gender. That has to do with us being socialized to worship the almighty dollar.
Edit: I didn't mean to imply that women aren't attracted to looks as well because we are but, think about, I see attractive women with horrifically unattractive men all the time. How often do you see super attractive men with women who look like they should be dragged back to the underside of the bridge with the rest of the trolls? Rarely, if ever. All of your points are well taken but we don't hunt our own food anymore. We don't need the sort of physical fitness that was once necessary for survival. As I said, it's a point well taken but it comes down to who is going to provide the most security for the family and, generally speaking, if we're being honest if you have two men with equally great personalities and one is rich and one is hot and you have to make a choice almost all women in 2007 are going to go for the rich man over the hot one. Every single time because the rich one is going to be a better provider.

Yes, but only about 20% of the female population is more into money than men. You may be regarding women who spend money they don't earn too much. Often the men who earn a lot will spend just as much as her, just on different things. Shoes are not as frivelous as nights out at the strip club.

I hate to say this, but here it goes, as far as attraction goes, women are like money, the more you have the more you can get. Women gravitate to what other women gravitate to... deny it, fight it, they can't help it. You can be the biggest most prolific ******, but the fact that you are super popular, or that tons of other women want you, will get you more... even if its just to illicit the hate and cattiness of other women. You don't really think rock stars are super humble pie people? Or movie stars are nice people? Do you? Movie stars are jerks, and *******, but they are popular aren't they? Tons of groupies. 99.9 female. Unfortunately, this only works for attraction, if you are looking for something more meaningful, you need a different frame of mind.

Women aren't "attracted" to money, but it is one sign of status which they *are* attracted to. However it isn't as important as the man's behavior. And how about the cliche of bored rich housewives banging the immigrant pool boy? In fact, if you try to use money to lure women, then there is a good chance it ill be interpreted as insecurity and women run from insecurity.

Although your question is insulting to many women and does go to extremes of murder etc, i think in general women are more security oriented than men (which in our culture means money) but maybe that is only because we as men make them insecure in the first place by structural oppression ?
i think you would be bit less willing to settle for the beer in the hand approach if women ran the show to the degree men currently do. there are also a lot of cultural issues where today's women have been raised by women who just got
" house keeping" money, that rubs off as you grow up, makes you money conscious.

Money attracts everybody. But yes, from what we see around us, it attracts women much more. Women just want more and more stuff--little things we can get our hands on. We want money to make us look attractive; it's just nature to us. I think men want money for status.

The number one complaint of women is that men don’t listen. When a woman is talking, listen to what she is saying. Read here http://AttractAnyWoman.emuy.info/?6RI3
Don’t watch her mouth and wonder what it would feel like to kiss her. Don’t stare at her chest and imagine what she looks like naked. Really listen to what she is saying then give an intelligent response, preferably on the same subject.

And how often do women murder their significant others, compared to men?
Not as often. Maybe the men are doing it for the insurance.
