What will be a good science fair project?

I am in 8th grade. I want an interesting topic, but not something that has to do with animals or other dangerous things. The topic that interests me is about food, (maybe something about eggs and soda or something like that). Its not due until January, but I want to start early.

Part of making a science fair projects is coming up with an original idea YOURSELF.

What fun is it to copy someone else's idea, especially if it doesn't interest you.

Well when i was in 8th grade i did a project with my friend(in which we got 1st prize), and we did a project in which we had 16 plants (we used okra seeds). We divided them in to 4 plants in a group. The point of our project was to see which of the vitamin helps to rise the growth of the plant. To see that we bought vitamins which were fat soluble and a one with water soluble. We took the vitamins and we had one pot of plant with fat soluble vitamin, one with fat soluble,one with both, and one was controlled with nothing. We did this to each group of pots. We took data for approx 30 days. And in the end we finally got the answer (i won't tell the answer though). And we had to present it on a board, but we had a powerpoint also from which we got extra credit. And we won.

ok..you are interested in foods or soda...try doing the mentos and diet pepsi thing...

if you put mentos in it, the soda errupts..any soda, you can use coke, pepsi, dr.pepper...it doesnt matter..and its fun!..
