I will drug myself to sleep at about 8pm, wake up at 5 am and watch the sunrise.
I really do not like New Years Eve. It's my least favorite Holiday.

pathetic??? nah......I'd say smart.........you don't have to deal with the drunks on the road or going out when you don't really want to.........
besides it really is just another day.

There is something positive here - you want to see the sunrise. To succeed to watch the sunrise, means you have the power to push forward in our way and for our own reasons. I never think of New Year's Eve as a time of the past, but rather a reward for the future, a future I may have that is better that ever. We should also never take what we have, we we have been given for granted, some day it may be gone.

You are not pathetic...but, don't drug yourself. I haven't gone out on New Years Eve in ages...my husband usually has to work so I rent or have all my fave DVD's, Ben and Jerry's, Popcorn and chocolate and enjoy a spud like existence on the couch with my cats.

but dont drug yourself to sleep
maybe stay up for a couple of nights before
and then crash that night
you probably have your own reasons for not liking that holiday

umm yeah i dont agree with your plans..not because i think they are pathetic, but because i firmly believe that whatever you do on new years is what you will be doing the most of that year so i personally wouldnt make plans like yours..but to each his own so have fun!
