I'm not a republican, but I am a strong conservative. I don't like my tax money going to NASA or to pay for health care for others or the myriad other things it goes to. Read the tenth amendment. That is what the government should do. Not pay for health care, not decide how to re-distribute wealth, not to regulate business transactions. The Federal government should provide protection from military threats, help build interstate infrastructure (roads, highways), settle interstate disputes, provide a forum for the interpretation of the constitution etc. There is no requirement for the government to provide us with happiness or fulfillment, only the freedom to pursue these goals.

Actually what I think is: Government has NO money of its own, only what it takes from me in taxes. If I can't afford to buy my own healthcare, I can't afford to have the government "buy it" for me.
The space program tends to produce innovations that in the end benefit all Americans such as:
better breast biopsies with CCD chips, faster computer processing, cleaner smokestack emissions, better water purification and more.

I think it is unfair that my tax dollars go in to a program that gives free dental care to illegal immigrants (migrant workers), yet I have to pay retail out of pocket for ALL of my dental work. They don't even pay into the system yet they are benefiting from it! This is BS!
No taxes are the best taxes!

Tax money already goes to those who can't afford health care. It's called Medicaid and free clinics. I don't think the government should force health insurance on those who choose not to have it.

Your money also goes to national defense, even if you don't believe in the war should your life and property still be protected?
Life is unfair and there are somethings that the government chooses to be involved in that they shouldn't. So do we just allow the government to take over everything?

So you think it's only Republicans who do not want socialized medicine? okay then......How about you not pay for NASA...I no longer have to pay for social program OR schools since I chose not to breed. You really don't want to go down this road.
