I believe it is multiverse then omniverse. But in reality, we really don't know. It is all theoretical at this time.

But I believe string theory is most recently the theory that many scientists are using to make these determinations.

Some refer to it as the "Universal Landscape" where perhaps another few billion universes are hanging out. The place of the universe within the landscape determines the "mathematical laws" of that particular universe (each law is different!!!)

I watched something about this on Nova or something I think its called black space or something. It is matter that you can't see for creating/adding more to the existing universe. Life! Pretty nifty.
