well it's like an angle that you get from the planes journey. so 1020 miles (340mph*3hours) as a line from right to left, then another line at an angle of 34 degrees for 1020 miles again. you need to know the distance between the start point and the end point. i can't remember much about trigonometry, but i bet you could work it out!

What you have made is a triangle.

Draw a line to represent the first leg - an inch per hour of flight.

Get your protractor - calculate you new heading (west is 270)
so,,,did we turn left 34 degrees * do not understand your course change*

angle 34 degrees down and draw another 3 " line ( 3 hours of travel) = 3 x 340 for each leg

from that point back to your starting poiont is your new distance - don't remember how to calculate with degrees of angle - sorry

you have it from here

1. Get a piece of paper.
2. Draw each hour with a line, and above it write '340 mph.'
3. Do the equation you should know by now if you're at this point.
4. Stop asking Yahoo! Answers for math help for homework.

And that ecard thing is probably a scam, especially if it says (dot).
