I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You will be in my prayers tonight.
A few good songs would be:
The Dance by Garth Brooks
Holes in the Floor of Heaven by Steve Wariner
Forever and Ever Amen by Randy Travis

I was just thinking Just Beyond The Moon also, F4TC beat me to it. But confused what exactly you plan on doing with a special song 1 year after your wifes passing??? For the funeral sure, but what do you do 1 year later except remember and cry a little more? Sit around playing songs that'll just end up depressing you? I mean HEY don't come over to my place, but figure out what you're doing that day and keep in mind I'm sure she wants you to be happy again!

Tex picked the perfect song. I speak from a similar situation and that particular song really gets me every time.
another one that I listen to every b-day, anniversary etc is this
Brooks and Dunn's...He's Got You (hard to make it through this one for me. Was written as losing his love to another but if you think of the "He" in "He's got you" as the big guy upstairs, takes on a whole new perspective.

Check out the Oakridge Boys "I Guess It Never Hurts to Hurt Sometimes" very moving to the memory of a love one that has gone on.
"Sometimes I feel a Wave
Of a past break in my mind
and I know it's gone for good
and it makes me want to cry
Is this all we get to keep
as the years go rollin' by
Just a memory
For all the days gone by.
Oh your always in my heart
and your often on my mind
I will never let it die
just as long as I'm alive
sometimes it makes me sad
that we never said goodbye
Oh I guess it never hurts
To hurt sometimes"

God Bless the broken Road by Rascal Flatts.
Yeah Go Rest High On that Mountain is probably the best choice I heard it at a funeral once brought me to tears.

"Smile" by Lonestar
SMILE (Lonestar)
I still remember the night we met
You said you loved my smile
But your love for me was like a summer breeze
Oh it lasted for a while
I could hold on a little tighter I know
But when you love someone gotta let'em go
So I'm gonna smile
Cause I wanna make you happy
Laugh
So you can't see me cry
I'm gonna let you go style
And even if it kills me
I'm gonna smile
Kiss me once for the good times, baby
Kiss me twice for good bye
You can't help how you don't feel
And it does'nt matter why
give me a chance to bow out gracefully
'Cause that's how I want you to remember me
I'm gonna smile
Cause I want to make you happy
Laugh
So you cant see me cry
I'm gonna let you go Style
And even if it kills me
I'm gonna smile
I'm gonna smile so you can find the courage
Laugh,
so you wont see me hurtin'
I'm gonna let you go Style
And even if it kills me
I'm gonna
Smile
"I Will Remember You" by Sarah Mclachlan (not a country song but beautiful all the same)
I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Dont let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
Remember the good times that we had?
I let them slip away from us when things got bad
How clearly I first saw you smilin in the sun
Wanna feel your warmth upon me, I wanna be the one
I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Dont let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
Im so tired but I cant sleep
Standin on the edge of something much too deep
Its funny how we feel so much but we cannot say a word
We are screaming inside, but we cant be heard
But I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Dont let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
Im so afraid to love you, but more afraid to loose
Clinging to a past that doesnt let me choose
Once there was a darkness, deep and endless night
You gave me everything you had, oh you gave me light
And I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Dont let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
And I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Dont let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
Weep not for the memories

I'll Wait For you: Joe Nichols
here are the lyrics:
The snow in Montana was three feet high
Lady at the counter said,
"There ain't no flights"
So he called her on the telephone,
He said I'll rent a car
And I'll drive home.
She said,
I'll wait for you like I did last year
At Christmas time with you family here,
And your truck broke down
Out in San Antone
And the gifts stayed wrapped
Till you got home,
Oh this ain't nothing new,
Sweetheart I'll wait for you.
Now he's on his cell phone
In a Coupe deVille
Talking to the one he loves and always will
His heart is breaking
Cause she's there alone
Her heart is aching
Cause she wants him home
She says i'll wait for you
Like in '68 when our child was due
I said It will have to wait
Until his dad gets here,
And stands by my side,
Remember dear our son's first cry.
Soh this ain't nothing new,
Sweetheart I'll wait for you.
He didn't stop all day
To eat a bite,
And he finally got there around midnight
The doctor said she's in a better place
She said to give you this note,
Just in case.
And it said I'll wait for you
At heaven's gate,
Oh I don't care how long it takes
And I'll tell St. Pete I can't come in
Without my love and my best friend,
Oh this ain't nothing new,
Sweetheart I'll wait for you.
P.S. I love you too
Sweatheart I'll wait for you...

I miss my friend - Darryl Worley
I miss the look of surrender in your eyes
The way your soft brown hair would fall
I miss the power of your kiss when we made love
But baby most of all
I miss my friend
The one my heart and soul confided in
The one I felt the safest with
The one who knew just what to say to make me laugh again
And let the light back in
I miss my friend
I miss the colors that you brought into my life
Your golden smile, those blue-green eyes
I miss your gentle voice in lonely times like now
Saying it'll be alright
I miss my friend
The one my heart and soul confided in
The one I felt the safest with
The one who knew just what to say to make me laugh again
And let the light back in
I miss my friend
I miss those times
I miss those nights
I even miss the silly fights
The making up
The morning talks
And those late afternoon walks
I miss my friend
The one my heart and soul confided in
The one I felt the safest with
