Loudness is one of the best known Japanese Metal bands ever. They began in the early 80's and got fairly big in Europe by the mid 80's before coming to the US. They played clubs and opened for larger acts like Motley Crue in stadiums here. Guitarist Akira Takasahi was and is still pretty smokin'. They sang in Japanese in the beginning and later made records in English. I'd say check them and another band called EZO out, very cool stuff. The singer from EZO was in Loudness for a little while.
