Whenever I see one I have to play it... It only sort of matters whether I win something or not.... that's just a bonus.

It's like they call out to me in the grocery store (which is where I see them mostly). Of course, when I was little I would play them at the arcade. The cool ones gave you tickets when you played, whether you grabbed something or not... then you could exchange those for even more worthless crap.

I'm thinking, over the years (around 20 or so) I've probably spent well into the thousands of dollars of my own money on these machines. Why do you think that is?

Is it the possibility of getting a poorly made, horribly immitated Mickey Mouse (or some other hideous cartoon character) fashioned together for my happiness by a 4 year old in a third-world country... or something about grabbing various tiny body parts with a giant claw, without getting arrested? What makes it so damn appealing?

I need help.

Okay... "thousands" is probably exaggerating. But that's how it feels.

Can any of you read?

I already know I'm addicted to it. I don't care whether I win ANYTHING... I just like aiming and grabbing at things.

I have PLENTY of other vices that I won't get into right now. I was just looking for someone to tell me why it's so appealing...

What the hell am I paying you people for?

Well... Jeese...
At least it's not Crack!!!

You know, I'm not sure what it is about games like that that make them so fun.
Whenever I get to a fair (once in a while), I have to play that game where you put the token in and the bulldozer pushes useless crap out. I don't think I need to explain it better because everyone knows that game.
Anyway, I've blown a lot of money on that dang thing. Probably not as much as you on your claw machine, but I can see it happening!!!
I'll betcha that whoever came up with those types of games did'nt make jack squat off them though... Just always seems to work out that way.
Later...

You don't need help, you just need a roll of quarters. What the heII. It's cheaper than smoking or other vices that lots of ppl have and its fairly harmless, so who cares. If you win the cheezy toy, go into the store and give it to some little kid, that's what we do with them or with the arcade tickets, we find a 2 or 3 year old kid in the arcade and give them away, they are usually thrilled and you don't have to collect the junkies.

Like ten bucks. It was full size candy bars and I ended up getting three Butterfinger Crisps, a Cookies 'n' Cream Hersheys bar and yeah, that's it. =( But hey, it was in Vegas! I'm to young to gamble, so instead I blow my money on candy bars! Woot, woot! But One-Hundred dollars, seriously?! Haha.

i think u have an addiction, thats not necessarily bad its just kind of ridiculous. But it wont harm you. I think its psychological , when u win something from this machine its like u hit the lottery

Well, I admit this may be over the line, but go with me here on this.............if you just like aiming and grabing at things, perhaps you might want to put a coin in my slot and just snatch as you please.........

I'm certain I have toys somewhere stashed that I can reward you with..............

It's like fishing... only better because you don't get sunburned, smelly or dirty. Nobody is worried about junkie anglers. Just enjoy yourself and take solace in knowing if you do catch something.... you don't have to clean it.
