I've heard of a guy who would point a video camera at a tv displaying what the camera sees, making an infinite loop. And he'd play all the video noise back frame by frame and sometimes see faces and things.
I never believed it though, and thought he was probably a fraud. Good luck if you try it.

IDK..but here is EVP link.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_voice_phenomenon
I think you meant "hook" ...not "hock". That seems like a good idea.Did you try to google it? Wish I'd had something like that years ago. But, if ghosts are up to date and "aware" of earthly things..I imagine they'll see it and catch on. They might do a "raspberry" at you!!!!
P.S. FYI.. Try to preview what you've written next time. It will help to keep silly answers off your question. I try to do it every time iI send a question or answer. Do you have google spell check? It helps me a lot!!!
EDIT..You might need to read this link. It says something about not using your dvd video camera near a tv...I couldn't find anything else.http://www.google.com/search?q=EVP+recorder..using+video+camera+hooked+up+to+tv%3F&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

EVP=electronic voice phenomenon. Ok one of the better ways of getting this stuff is with the old tape recorders but TAPS there on SciFi Channel manage it with digital. What it is is static that has definite sounds to it, most are voices like the name says others don`t listen to if you get scared easy it`ll scare the S.... out of you (the move WHITE NOISE) don`t pass it off as pipe dreams to much stuff can`t be explained by modern science.

I just got finished watching an episode of Ghost Hunters... it's called DVR. Digital Video Recording. . . I think it picks up video like EVP picks up audio. When you play it back... EEEEEEEEEEK!!

To the best of my knowledge there is no coined "technical term" for what you are describing. However those people that use the video camera in paranormal investigations are generally called videographers.
