Absolutely, without a doubt. I've lived for almost thirty years now, I'm good to go if necessary, my children have only lived for six and three, they deserve more.

Would I sacrifice my temporary life for the eternal salvation of my family?
That's easy. My temporary life means nothing compared to even 1 other person's eternity. I would give it up without second thought.

Yes. That would alleviate that problem and all of mine in one shot. My life insurance would give them help to mourn, and my mortgage would be paid. That would help my wife tremendously. I would never watch them die. Whoever says they would forsake the ones they love are COWARDS! Possibly even psychotic.

I reality, I fear death and in the point of a sword, I would willingly give up my family life, there are those who would say otherwise, but when their head is in the guillotine, they would forsake all the people they know.

To all who wonder about these questions of ethics, or who ask them, or who worry about them, I suggest you read the chapter "The Ethics of Emergencies" in Ayn Rand's book, "The Virtue of Selfishness."
You might learn why the questions are unnecessary.

Yes! If one would not, he/she has been given a gift that he/she does not deserve.
