Fitting "into" the workplace, or fitting "in to" the workplace?

Into is correct according to Merriam Webster dictionary. (#1 or #2)See attached: 1—used as a function word to indicate entry, introduction, insertion, superposition, or inclusion
2 a: to the state, condition, or form of b: to the occupation, action, or possession of c: involved with or interested in
3—used as a function word to indicate a period of time or an extent of space part of which is passed or occupied
4: in the direction of
5: to a position of contact with : against
6—used as a function word to indicate the dividend in division

The verb you are using is /fitting in/. The /to/ is part of the prepositional phrase "to the workplace".

So you are fitting in to the workplace.

For better syntax, I would say acclimating instead of fitting into.

into "in to" means "to go into........." into is already there.
