My best friend says she has a urine infection, she keeps needing to pee and says its burns when she does, ive had it before so i knoe what she means! But she said shes had it for over a week now and has gone to thr pharmasist to get cystitis medicene, But i told my mum about it and she says she could have an STI, Do you think she could? Shes had sex with 3 different guys this year and stupidly doesnt use condons!

it's possible. Chlamydia and ghonorrhea have painful urination as a symptom, but the same antibiotics she could use to cure the UTI are the same that can cure an STD such as chlamydia or ghonorrhea.

She isn't too smart but a urine test can test for some STD's. She needs to see her doctor for a complete workup of blood and urine. And she needs education on STD's.
