On board video means that the video adapter is part of the motherboard and not an add on card.

The easiest way to know which type of video adapter is: If the socket that you plug your monitor into is vertical and over by the side of the back of your computer then it is "On Board". If, on the other hand the socket is in one of the horizontal slots in the back of your computer, the it is a, third party add on card.
