I have laughed. My cousin gave birth to a red headed baby with caramel skin, and bright pink lips. We're Irish, African and Blackfoot Indian on that side of the family. The baby's dad is Native American. It was amazing! He had a little bright orange fro and freckles. I loved it. Obviously our family is of mixed race, so it's certainly not unheard of.
By the way, I'll remind you guys that races have been mixing since they freaking met each other. Tons of different ethnicities have different hair and eye colors. If every time you see an ethnic person with red hair and think it's dye, you're in denial.

There's lots of black people out there with naturally red hair. It actually runs in my family. As brown as I am, I actually have neutral mud-brown hair (I usually dye it darker) that turns stripey-orange in the summer. One of my cousins was sandy blonde when she was little, but now her hair is bright fiery copper-red (and she has the personality to match). Queen Latifah has naturally light-auburn hair. It's not as unusual as you might think.

Malcolm X had reddish colored hair. So did the comedian Redd Fox (Sanford and Son).
It's more common than you think. There's no reason to laugh at it.

Laugh? No! Why???? Red hair is a Norse trait.... Maori's are born with very blond hair.... It would just mean some Norse genes sneaked into the mix! :-)
