I really wanted my kids, but the battle was getting really ugly, and I just gave in! I changed jobs, relocated 300 miles away. I still called them every week, and saw them on week-ends! She spent the $$ from the sale of our house, and I just waited, and soon they(boyfriend & her) were broke! And then she asked me "Do you want them for the summer" Yes, was my answer and that was 1982, and they've been with/near me ever since. I did have to get legal custody in order to register them in school. They are married and have their own families, and are foing well in life. We now have 11 grandchildren, and 1 great gran. And live in/near the same town!! Life is good!!

Good luck finding someone. :-)

You basically have to prove that the mother is unfit and seriously harmful either mentally or physically to the child. Unfortunately men in society are not seen as loving and nurturing as females. I think things have changed over the past 15 years but we have a long way to go until we have equal rights when it comes to children and custody.

My dad won the custody case for me when i was younger. He always showed up to the hearings whereas my mom showed up to one if that even. I know at the time he had a job and that probably helped. The major thing was that he showed up and she didn't.

My fiance got full custody of his two kids. Everything was already proved! The mom was a whore and a prostitue. She was drugging them and got her son to have sex and have a baby with a 21 year old. A lot of stuff going on. She hasn't even saw them in almost a year!

interior the united kingdom the decide frequently provides preferential scientific care to the mummy while it is composed of custody. till you may tutor which you suspect she isn't worth to guard your daughter then you definately ought to come to a joint custody association wherein neither of you has sole custody and it quite is shared the two between you. My husband did on the grounds of abandonment - it was a no brainer! And, after 18 years the girls' biological mother came back into their lives and got pissed b/c they didn't want anything to do with her! Duh!
