Alooooohaaaa :)

First, when buying snoboard pants you want something that is at least 3000mm waterproof, 10000mm is the best, just look at the tag and it will usually tell you what the waterproofing amount is. The higher the number the better and the drier you are which makes a happy snowboader girl right? :)

Second, may I suggest, and this is just a suggestion, please dont use a mountaineering pant for snowboarding, two different types of applications. My suggestions for great priced and warmest for that price: Bonfire (probably the warmest and highest waterproofing rating at the best pricepoint), Sessions, Roxy Snow, Nikita (favorite on girls and decently priced)....so on and so forth.

Third: Get on the net, research them and look for the tech specs on your favorite pair o pants, then, see if you can find them on Ebay for cheaper :) Good luck in finding your pants, its not good to run around with no pants, specially on a snowboard for too long :oP Happy Riding!!!!

I think that both of these brands are excellent, but for different reasons. TNF makes the best mountianeering gear there is - they are light weight and very waterproof - but they really can't stand up to the abuse of snowboarding.

I have a pair of Burton boarding pants with double thick fabric at the knees and seat and they are fantastic - they also have thigh vent zips which are also not a part of most mountaineering gear.

Good Luck

686 snow pants. Comes with a removable pant liner for those cold days. Not to mention for a cool look after day of riding. Very fashionable for todays snow rider.
