why do people shoplift from where they work. It is wrong anywhere and anyway but I just talking about places of employment right now. That 5 finger discount could will make you loose your job if you get caught and most do because they get cocky. But then in the long run you loose because you could get arrested, get a ticket, have to pay the amount of what you took, and for sure you will get fired and now you are broke with no money coming in. And if you have that on your record it is going to be hard for you to find a job somewhere else. Seems like you pay more in the long run then a couple of dollars.

You can't steal from where I work it's in the Jewellery Quarter and they keep precious metal worth millions of pounds in there. That's why you have to put your bag through the x-ray and walk through a metal detector every time you leave the building. It's exactly the same as the ones at the airport before you get on a flight.

The reason why prices are so high in the shops. But your scam has been going on for some time.Somebody steals from a shop then sells it at a boot sale for a fiver the buyer then takes the item back to the store and gets a refund for the full price.I think your admission is disgraceful and you should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

I would never steal....

Infact when I was 14 I worked n a small newsagents and drank a can of Juice (55p!) forgot to pay for it (I usually did it the next time I went on the till and felt guilty the next day paid in full when I could easily just ignored it.....

Theft is wrong.

uh, no. How does it feel to give presents that you know are stolen? Can't feel too good. That means you're a fraud.

Also, a girl was on the news the other day doing exactly what you are doing. She was caught not ringing up items for her friends - guess what it got her? A trip to the county jail and her picture on the news - looking like a fool

I'm assuming you're a teenager. You know you WILL eventually get caught, and you should really stop doing it. It won't be worth it when you're trying to get a real job one day, and you can't because this pops up on your record

I work in a small supermarket, and my bosses are also my friends. I know how much they struggle to keep their heads above water, and they lose an awful lot to shoplifters. I wouldn't dream of stealing from them, or anyone else!!!

I would imagine that your D.N.A. and fingerprints will be on permanent file in the near future, and then who will employ you????

I don't work in a shop and I have never stolen. Not even as a child.
You are right though, it does happen all the time.

How do discounts on goods equate to shoplifting over Christmas period?

2007-12-27 08:05:02 · answer #9 · answered by Anonymous · 0 1

Of course not. I hope all your friends who gave you a discount get fired. That's exactly why some places won't do employee discounts anymore, because people like you abuse it. Shame on you and your friends......

No. I believe in God. God says thou shall not steal.Gee what a wonderful person I am. My only fault is that I lie a lot. No wonder there is so much trouble out in the real world. All the good people are in here.
