Im talking about real 70's and 80's rock. The kind with mind blowing guitar solos, amazing riffs, vocalists who would really rock your world, and lyrics that made you FEEL something! From soft rock to hard rock! Im talking about bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floys, Queen, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Police, The Who and the sort! The Brittish invasion period, and even some American bands like The Doors, The Eagles, and so on! I know Im not the only one that appreciates that kind of music! Are you one of them? Post here!

Yes, the 60's too. And as I stated, the bands I mentioned were just SOME of the bands that I consider good music :-). There are more, as many of you have mentioned.

And what about the 1960's? 60's and 70's is 'Classic Rock'.
Some of us 25-year olds were fortunate enough to grow up on *real* 'Rock', and my favourites include :~
Led Zeppelin
Fleetwood Mac / Stevie Nicks
Jethro Tull
Mike Oldfield
Dire Straits / Mark Knopfler
Pink Floyd
Jimi Hendrix
The Who
Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac
Meat Loaf
The Police / Sting
Thin Lizzy
Robert Palmer
etc...

You are speaking my language. I am so into all of your favorites! I even walked down the aisle at my wedding to Zeppelin. I chose "All of My Love", since it was a wedding! ha ha. I have a room in my house dedicated to Rock and Roll. One wall is Vinyl Record Covers my favorite rock albums of all time. Zeppelin, Police, Guns and Roses, Floyd, The Doors...just to name a few. It's my favorite part of my house and I am so proud of it. One of the only constants in my life is the love of great Rock. OH, I also have a portrait of Robert Plant in that same room. My friends is an amazing painter and for my wedding gift he painted the sickest portrait of the man himself....Robert Plant!

this era from 60's to the 80's was the golden era, nothing and I meant nothing can change it. no bands can replace Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, the doors, the police, and Queen, Accept, Scorpions.
They were/are classic acts. :)

Don't forget about Springsteen, Sabbath, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Stones and Thin Lizzy. These are the bands (with the ones you mentioned) that built the foundation for hard rock and metal.

Who are you, my brother or something?!? J/K ;P You sound just like him. Well, if you change the name of the bands. He likes Iron Maiden, Guns 'n' Roses, AC/DC and those kind of bands more. You know, heavy metal! Anyway. Three Days Grace are real rock. They're alternative rock and that's rock! ^^ Have a nice day.

I do like a lot of those bands (and several you didn't mention like Alice Cooper and Bowie), but my preference definitely extends toward the likes of MC5, The Stooges, The Ramones, Velvet Underground, and a lot of Proto-Punk.
I assumed you weren't interested in me rambling on about Punk, and it's influence on the entire landscape of music.

Me, absolutely. The Who and Van Halen are two of my favorite bands of all time; music made back then was so much better than most of todays.
