Crash bandicoot - The wrath of cortex?

Does anyone know how to enter a password, it talks about entering it in the password screen, but how do i get to this password screen?

I have Crash Bandicoot The Wrath of Cortex, and I don't know about any password screen. I also have Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2, Crash Bandicoot 3, and Crash Team Racing. The only Crash Bandicoot game that I know of that had a password screen is the first Crash Bandicoot games.
