already did what i wanted to do when i grew up..i joined the army .. got out ..and now all i do is drink and miss this girl that hates me ben in and outa jail for last 18 months ..pills dont help ..im scared

Look man you have no clue what life is going to offer you in the next lets say 10 years. Just because things haven't been going well so far doesn't mean it's always going to be like that. Don't be a defeatist conquer others and your own thoughts ad when you survive you'll have agreat achievement an a new life. Hang in their dude . Listen to this bad *** metal band they are hardcore but positive and take no ****.

Killing yourself is extremely selfish and cowardly you are denying People a chance to help you and will forever scar your family and friends.........
The first thing you need to do if your feeling like killing yourself is pick up your phone and talk to someone call either numbers:
1-800-784-2433 or 1-800-273-8255
Any time day or night.
You need to
1) Sober up and get help for your drinking and drug problem
2) Get professional help from a Psychiatrist for your mental issues.
3) Look yourself in the mirror figure out what you want in life
you can crawl away in your corner or you get up and face life and do something positive with it. I strongly urge you to choose life!

and it seems like you are not a coward, considering you were in the army.
i've had times like this, times when i thought nothing was going right. and that things would never get better.
but they do.
they always do.
you will find another girl.
or find another hobby.
see, you said it yourself. you are scared.
so why even contemplate suicide?

I am a vet myself.
Get counseling it helped me, I felt worthless but now I am a contributor to the life of others. I teach and I love it!!
