when he is sitting on the deck, drinking a beer and she lands on his arm and starts sucking his blood.
He--being a human, and she being a mosquito (only the females bite)
That is the only time in which it is acceptable for a male to strike a female.

In my book its never ok for a male to hit a female.

In self defense
To subdue her when she's resisting arrest
To subdue her when she's about to kill someone else
After she's hit me enough times that I'm tired of being a punching bag
I've occasionally hit a girl when she was being a jerk, and if it'd been a guy in the same situation, I'd have hit the guy.

Legally, every person has to right to defend themselves from an assault - regardless of the gender of the victim or perpetrator.
In reality, in the real world, men should refrain from striking females if any other method, especially exit, is available.

It is never OK unless your life is endangered and by self -defense because everyone is entitled to self preservation provided it is not at the expense of others deliberately taken

When it becomes a life or death situation, self-defense (in which the female initiated it), robbery, or some other similar situation. Something like this voids out that whole "gentlemanly" thing in my book. Cheers!

if hit is hurtful but if hit is like a love pat then OK

I can't think of ANY time it's okay for a man to hit a woman!! Women are the world's gift to man and should treat them so!!

Self defense.
Yes,it's possible for even women to become threatening to a man,and then,in my book..it is 100% ok.
