You need size and stamina. You also need to be unselfish. Most of the time the fullback is responsible for blocking. You may get the ball on crucial third-and-ones, but you have to open holes for the faster running backs and protect the QB, too.

Strong lower body and the ability to run over D lineman. Blocking is a huge part of the fullback role. It doesn't hurt to have a decent pair of hands too....so you can run little flair routs and the QB is confident that you'll pull it in.

A good center at least one good guard and one good tackel, unless you are superman you are not going to run over a whole defensive teem no manner how strong you are. I know I played against two all American running backs in high school and had no problem tackeling either unless there was a giant lineman between me and them. You hit them low and they will go down. A good runner needs strong legs a good stiff arm and the knowledge to let the linemen open a hole for him to shoot through.

In Highschool there are no standards except lifting hard and running hard and having alot of heart nad drive to play. Size doesnt matter you can play w/e position you want if you do those things. College and Pros are where skill and size matter for positions.

Very strong legs and the ability to block well. Another main focus should be never turning the ball over.

A strong base, decent speed and above avg upperbody strength. If you want to separate yourself from the pack you should really work on pass catching. That makes a really great weapon.
