Yes. You didn't ask why but I am because I have been diagnosed with a mental illness and alcoholism. Since both are hereditary, I know they have these diseases aw well. I actually feel sorry for them because in their refusal to be around me means that they are not seeking the help they need. I feel sorry for them but I have absolutely no desire to be around anyone who has such a narrow mind.

I would not necessarily say the black sheep of the family, yet I am different in many ways. I am much more independent than the rest of my siblings and, well....I guess I am the black sheep of my family.
I just dont follow. I choose to cut my own path.

Not even close. Although I use to think so. The more I hear about some of the stuff my cousins have been caught doing, I think that I am the lilly white sheep of the family.

Yes, I think so. My younger sister owns a home, has 3 kids, is conservative, and lives within a few miles of my parents. I'm the one who didn't get married until I was in my 30s, am now divorced (no divorces in my family since my great-grandmother about 80 years ago), don't own a home, live 5000 miles from my parents...

my family are all pop-culture and superficial, and I frankly could care less. Not into anything they like, they think I'm strange, stuff I like they think is gay and not worthwhile, and they might understand if they would just try..................
