I'm talking like $30 off? I had a group of 10 people go to a restaurant and some of them left with more that what they came with. I called the manager afterwards and he was really nice and said that the till came out right and there was no problem. I know that this is not the case. What do I do? Do we risk the bad karma and keep the extra cash?

My boss' runners and waiters sometimes give their friends a 10% discount my boss allows and nothing more. I get free lunch and dinner, but my friends get 25% off their check. The waiters get their tip of the 25% check. I get free liquor and drinks from the bar. I remember one time when a waiter my boss recently hired charge his friend's meal and my boss fired him.

i went to a four star restaurant with 5 ppl. the correct tab was $345 but the waiter screwed up and gave my the tab for a $95 from another table. i was wasted already so i didn't pay attention. i just signed and put down a $30 tip. they called me an hour later saying their was a mistake. i was nice enough to let them charge the correct amount and gave the waiter another $20 since the service was excellent.

If the bill checked with the register and the Manager is satisfied. You do not have a problem. Perhaps the menu prices have changed and the restaurant doesn't have their new ones yet.
You did the honourable thing to bring it to the attention of management.

many cases a waitress will purposely depart specific issues off the invoice because of the fact of possibly a small mistake that became made in the process your meal. this is a manner of exclaiming thank you for being affected person, i'm going to forget approximately you had that soda. it rather is little freebies and in case you compromise for the invoice without saying something, fearing the server will ought to pay for the neglected merchandise - incorrect, the sole way a server ought to omit it became if it became an merchandise that did no longer must be rung as much as be arranged, so it is going left out. I hate charging my reliable purchasers for each little merchandise while they're already getting overpriced on their nutrition!

Hey! Sometimes things happen in your favor. If you checked with the manager and he was satisfied the restaurant wasn't short changed. The next time you go to the restaurant with a party or by yourself, leave a generous tip if you're still disturbed.

You called the manager, so that is all you can do. Keep the money. Give it to charity.
