I've been using nuvaring for a little while but I still have a couple questions. During the 4th week (while the ring is out before your period starts) are you still protected or should another birth control method be used? Also, during the first week, even though the ring hasn't been in for the last 7 days, are you still protected? These are probably dumb questions, but I would appreciate any answers! Thanks!

You are still protected at the 99% effectiveness of the nuvaring.

Just keep in mind ANY TIME you have sex, protected or not, taking it as prescribed or not, you risk the chance of pregnancy.

I would use condoms for the first month.

Read the pamphlet that came with the nuvaring, or talk to the doctor/pharmacist.

i could say there's a extreme threat which you will have spontaneously ovulated as quickly as the nuvaring have been out for over 3 hours. Take a being pregnant attempt. Your era is often previous due on account which you threw off your cycle by means of messing with the hormones.

On this fourth week you are still protected. When you put the ring in the following week you are still protected.
