I know from experience that every birth is different! The birth canal stretches just like a balloon does! So it is not as much pain as you would think! Some people "interpret" pain and others feel pressure. There are breathing exercises that can be done to minimize pain, like certain forms of yoga. There is no ripping allowed! That would be grounds for a lawsuit to let a woman rip or tear. Think of it like being constipated! It still finds a way out, doesn't it? (Not the baby as it, just a comparison that comes closely to the pressure of birth) There are too many C-sections already, for medical emergencies ok, but for the avoidance of pain, I think that is the wrong idea! A C-section is getting cut open surgically, across your whole belly! There has to be a lot of pain eventually, when the doctor refuses to refill your pain meds prescription, and you may be too sleepy to take care of yourself and your baby! Your abdominal muscles may not reduce in size as quickly, not as much as a woman giving birth naturally, with or without pain killers! So start your tantric breathing now! Also, I say root canal is a lot more painful than childbirth, if you and your supportive person has training and preparation for the life-changing event. Screaming is not allowed, although it makes for a good tv show or movie! If the woman starts to scream, the nurse will tell her to stop, for she can tear her muscles if she screams....breathing is much more encouraged.

Well it will only come out of your stomach if you get a C-Section (when they cut the abdomen open, and remove the baby). In that case it doesn't hurt at all, because they give you medicine to numb it. Only afterwards once it's over, and the medicine wears off, will you feel some pain until it heals.

A baby comes from the vagina and yes if you can imagine it is very painful. The most pain you will ever go through probably. It sounds like you need some one to talk to try your mom or female that is older and can give you accurate info best of wishes and I really hope this don't happen to you.

A baby does NOT come out of the stomach! A baby is born through the birth canal and comes out between your legs. And yes, it does hurt. Afterall, the pelvic bone is stretched to allow the child's head through but once you look down at the beautiful little face - you forget all about the pain......)

Weren't you listening in sex ed class? A baby grows in a woman's uterus, not the stomach. There is a big difference in the two. And yes, it hurts, VERY MUCH.

EDIT: BTW - you don't TELL the doctor to do a c-section. They are usually only done as a last resort, specifically when the mother or child's life is in danger.

A vaginal birth can be painful. However, a woman may choose to have pain medication given through an IV. But every woman is different.
Happy New Year!

I do believe something big enough to weigh on average a good six pounds coming out of your vagina would inflict some great pain...

The baby doesn't come out of your stomach area unless you are having a Cesarean Section.

Normal childbirth is vaginal. And it feels like you are pushing an 8 pound watermelon through a straw!
