To judge who is truly liberal, one should analyze voting patterns. According to the BACVR (look below), the state with the most cities labeled most liberal is California. Thus, I believe CALIFORNIA is the most liberal. It's inarguably the most liberal simply because it has the most minorities and most diverse population as opposed to other states. It has about 20% resident aliens and immigrants flock to California from Latin America, for work in the Silicon Valley, for Hollywood dreams or just because it is California. California represents the true liberal meaning of America and has historically, too. The movement to move West and accomplish "manifest destiny" was epitomized in events such as the Gold Rush, Oregon Trail period and Lewis and Clark exploration.
Therefore, there is no doubt that California is THE most liberal state.

I left the very fake, smug New England city the place I grew up some years in the past through fact I knew from very own journey it develop right into a bad place to be a baby and that i does no longer subject my very own babies to that kind of existence. it is not the form you experience, it is the form you look - for actual. After vacationing my nieces in the U.S. at the instant I knew I made the ideal determination. they're the two 4 and would realize type names. They even understand which of them are the "good" ones. I even have 2 babies and now stay in a rustic score larger than the U.S. My babies don't understand type names exist yet. additionally they are fantastically loose, as would nicely be seen by employing the marker drawings on our livingroom partitions and the holes that have been dug in our backyard (searching for worms and having them meet one yet another). i will additionally say i'm on 300 and sixty 5 days 5 of maternity leave and would have 2 extra years, whilst my youngest turns 4. i'm happy my husband and that i'll have childen and have the liberty to be waiting to boost them ourselves -- as adversarial to having them and then handing them over to a stranger to boost. BTW, isn't this actual conservatism - the lady in the domicile elevating the babies with the guy off "bread prevailing"? The socio-political framework actual does help to make it take place.

Well Ive lived in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. They are probably the two most. Both have the highest voting rates for the dem canidate stghe last two elections. Also there are no republicans in either states federal delegation. MA is the only one int he country with at least 3 reps, with all of the delegation from one party. Also, there are no statewide republican officials in the state gov and the legistlature only has 6 repubs in the senate and about 15 in the house last time I checked.
RI tends to be more old school labor union left, where massachusetts is very scoially liberal and huge foregn policy doves. Thats not to say they dont support socialism either though.
Vermont is just really wierd. The same eletorate alst election voted with over 60% support a republican governor, a democrat rep, and a socialist senator (the only one in the senate who actually has the gutts to actually call himself a socailist)

Massachusettes is just catholic bigots maintaining their stranglehold on the public sector..they aren't political anything..just nepotists with a machine that fixes elections
Maryland...where I live..
they have a coalition of Federal State employees and minorities..that all a dem has to do is sign a rubber stamp to anything that benefits the Federal Lobby and they have a job for life..
we have judges that allow child molesters to go free..Takoma Park that elected a Socialist Party member as a State delegate
we have highways that have been put on hold for years because of the Sierra Club and with that..the Federal commuters who complain about the way their commute goes..as the most daunting task they face all day..
we have federal police.. natural resource police..chesapeake bay police..we have state police local police sherrifs dept..Intersection cameras ..neighborhoods with a speed bump every 100 yards..to slow down traffic..we invented the police drunk driving roadblocks..seatbelt stops...no-smoking laws..we even have traffic police that sit in an unmarked mini-van taking radar pictures that you receive the citation in the mail for going 4 miles over the speed limit..and we even have police cadets that pose as adults to entrap businesses that wrongly read their IDs
and a State Gov't that abhors Farmers..and Watermen..since they contribute to some sort of tax of the natural resources..that nobody can determine...all in the name of revenue streaming to keep the Gov't running..to validate and perpetuate the need for them to express some purview over our lives..and the irony..it will continue to manifest itself..

Probably Massachusetts. Its Republicans are considered too liberal for the national party, which is why Congressman Silvio Conte never got into House leadership, Governor Bill Weld wasn't allowed to be Ambassador to Mexico, Governor Paul Cellucci wasn't allowed to be anything more than Ambassador to Canada, Governor Jane Swift wasn't allowed to run for re-election, and Governor Mitt Romney won't be nominated for President: Because he had to pretend to be liberal to get elected -- and he knew he couldn't do it a second time. There's a reason he didn't run for re-election as Governor: He would have lost, and then he wouldn't be a serious candidate for President. He still isn't one.

Washington DC isn't a state. I say Vermont. That state spawned Howard Dean, and actually tried to secede. I personally say let 'em.
