someone well enough versed to understand it and explain it as well as recognize it for the poor theory that it is would make a good leader, too bad anyone who is that intelligent would be too smart to run for president.

No, I don't necessarily think it makes them unqualified to be President if they simply disagree with the theory. Until the theory is proven to be law, there will always be some people who disagree with it. However, there is a difference between personal belief and public action. A person who disagrees with the theory is unfit to be president if they try to force their belief onto everyone else. We should stand by the consensus of the scientific community in our schools, regardless of what the president may or may not personally believe.

I say so.

A high school level understanding of science is a very low bar to set for the job of leading a developed country in the 21st century. I wouldn't vote for anyone that denies evolution as the accepted explanation of life on Earth. Anyone else is ignorant or rejecting reality.

Huckabee has not only denied evolution but has said he doesn't believe he is a primate. He should be laughed out of the race.

Theory is not fact. Theory is basically a best guess. I happen to agree with the theory of evolution but there is not enough evidence to qualify as undisputed fact.

It certainly indicates a problem with their intelligence. Like those people who say that it is just a theory, without knowing what the word theory means in science.

Yes, because its not theory its fact. If you can't understand that then you're far too big a fool to run the country.
