Will Slimquick lessen the effectiveness of contraceptives (Kariva - Pill)?

No - it will not lessen the effectiveness of contraceptives.

Looking through the list of ingredients, linked below, slimquick is basically nothing but caffeine, vitamins, and extracts of green tea and soy. The 'hormone balancing complex' is just soy, which doesn't impact contraception, and chaste tree. The 'cortifem' bit is mostly just more soy ingredients (which they usually mispelled). Beta-Sitosterol (which they've also mispelled) reduces cholesterol, slightly.

The main ingredient to watch out for is the chaste tree, because it probably -does- have an effect on hormone levels, but so far as I can tell, probably not enough of one to make a difference (see link below). You might want to look through the articles on Vitex agnus castus in pubmed (peer reviewed medical literature), though - that's also linked below.
