I was driving down the freeway, and was in some traffic. So, it was stop and go, and I was off and on my brakes a lot. It felt like the brakes were stuck on, almost like the emergency brake was on. So, I got off of the freeway. Then, I started to see sparks coming out of the brakes, so I pulled over. I got out and looked at the brakes, and they were glowing orange. So, I let it cool down for a while, and tried to get going again. But, the brakes went all the way to the floor, and didn't really work at all. So, I basically have no brakes. I'm wondering if the brakes pads need to be replaced, or what. Please help!!! Thanks :)

your gonna need some new rotors, maybe new pads, from the sound of it probably new pads. itll run you probably 100 for rotors and 60 for pads, it sounds like your brakes were stuck, coulda been a faulty brake master cylinder, or differentiating valve. the brake master cylinder is rather and easy fix, it simply is taken apart and put back together. the valve on the other hand i wouldnt know what to tell you.

Yes and the rotor and I'm sure the caliper locking up was the original cause of it all.

My money is on the alternator besides. additionally, verify the situation of the floor cable working from the battery to the physique of the motor vehicle for placed on and tear. in case you intend on preserving the motor vehicle a couple of minutes I recommend getting one from a recycle backyard as maximum incorporate a 30 day guarantee.
