My brother has a PSP and I have a DS, so I figured I'd bring those. There's a DVD player in the car, but we don't have any new movies and the kids will only sit still for so long.

I guess I could bring coloring books. Maybe some snacks like Goldfish or something. Ummm ...

See, the thing is we're going to be doing most of our driving during the day. So I need ideas of stuff to keep them not-annoying!! xD

Also, we leave tomorrow (I pretty much just found out) so there's no time to go out and buy anything ...

And if you have any ideas for kid songs, tell me because I'm planning to make some CDs. The kids love songs like Who Let The Dogs Out and stuff like that.

When my sister and I were young my parents would play car games with us to keep us occupied.

We played I spy, an example would be "I spy something yellow" and they would guess that car, the billboard, the sun, etc. until they get it right. Or we played games like somebody would start out by saying "purple semi" and whoever sees the next purple semi first gets to pick the next thing.

Also, we played an alphabet game where you would look at license plates, billboards, bumper stickers etc. and you had to get all the letters of the alphabet IN ORDER and who whoever got them first won.
That was my favorite game, it kept me busy for hours trying to find x and z haha

OH, and for the kids songs, if they're girls put The Jonas Brothers and deffinately Hannah Montanna Songs on the CDs and make sure to put the macarena on it and teach them how to do it. Maybe Disney songs too like Acuna Matada (no idea how to spell that, sorry. The Lion King Song) and print out some of the song's lyrics so they can sing along and it will be a nice learning activity for the younger children.
