because I know if u are having period , then u are ovulating

Not necessarily. Your body is producing enough estrogen to stimulate the uterus to build a lining, but that doesn't mean that a fertile egg is being released, and that could be why your body is not producing enough progesterone, such that you need to take Provera.

Provera and Depo Provera are two very different things. Provera is to GET periods, and Depo can cause you to either bleed for months, have a regular period, or not bleed at all (among other really horrible health risks and negative side affects).

Ovulation is different for each woman, so you may or may not be ovulating. I do know that any time you have sex, you risk the chance of pregnancy.
