Anything that increases oxytocin production - sex, nipple stimulation. Mild exercise such as walking.
Nipple stimulation may sound crude, but when my wife was at term and went in for a test, they wanted to see if she could trigger contractions (she had Braxton/Higgs contractions several times already), so they had her pinch and rub her nipples. Sure enough, that set off contractions & they were able to do the test. The contractions never stopped, and 12 hours later we had a baby.

There really aren't any proven ways to induce labor other than doctor intervention. There are old wives tales and such, but they aren't guaranteed. Honestly, the baby will come when he/she is ready and hopefully not before then. For me, I had heard that walking can induce labor so I went walking up and down the neighborhood with my husband at 10 at night. The next morning at 5 a.m. I started having labor pains and my son was born that afternoon. Maybe the walking helped, and I kind of think it did but on the other hand he wouldn't have come if he wasn't ready. Soon it will be over and try to lay down and just get some rest. Soon you will have your hands full.

Check out this website. I would advise that you use caution with anything you try though. There have been reports that herbal remedies can cause some problems for the baby. They are really recent and I don't know how much support they have.

Walk up and down the hallway. My firend was even on one of those large balls!! She sat on it in the room and bobbed up and down! lol! She said it worked! Remember to take a bottle of water on your walk! ;-) Good luck for a beautiful delivery and healthy baby!

walking and sex both do work if its time for the baby to come. Raspberry tea leaves are also known to cause your uterus to contract and if your cervix is ripe it will encourage the contractions to start.
