You can only connect your 360 to the internet through your PC if your PC already has an internet connection, either through another ethernet port, or through a wireless connection. If that's the case, you can share the internet connection from your PC to your Xbox by going to:

Start > Control Panel > Network Connections, and then right-clicking on the Local Area Connection that is connected to the internet and going to Properties. From there, go to Advanced tab, and check the box that says "Share this connection". You DO NOT need to bridge your network adapters to share the internet connection.

If your PC doesn't have two network adapters, then you can't connect your 360 to the internet through it, and if you wish to have both connected at the same time, the easiest solution would be to get a router.

You don't connect your Xbox to your computer you connect it to a Cable/DSL modem or a router that is connected to a modem. You need broadband internet and then connect the xbox 360 using an ethernet cord to the modem or router. If you have a wireless router you can connect your xbox 360 to the router wirelessly via a wireless xbox 360 adaptor.

**IF** you have 2 ethernet ports on your computer, you will have to go through a complicated process of bridging your networking adapters.

OTHERWISE, just connecting to your PC ethernet port cannot connect your Xbox360 to the internet. Plug directly into your router or modem instead of planning on using it like that. Or, do what the guy above said if you have a wireless router -- buy the microsoft wireless adapter.

And if none of our advices make any sense, call 18004MYXBOX and they will straighten this out for you.

If you want to connect both your PC and your X360 to the internet at the same time, you'll need either an Ethernet Hub or a Router.
