I am not familiar with Brother. But does it have a plastic sticker on top of it? If so remove that and if it is an all in one you will have 4 holes. Cyan, Yellow, Blue and Black. Poke a match into the hole and see what colour it is. Then refill it with that colour. Do the same with the rest but make sure you don't use the same match after blue when you find yellow or the ink will go green. If it has a sealed plastic lid then remove that carefully with a sharp knife. Follow the installation of the ink above. Then use a quick setting adhesive like "Bostic" to glue the lid back on. If the ink doesn't flow properly get a plastic syringe with a 1" piece of soft plastic tube and squirt air into the hole above the colour missing to force the ink through. If youu buy a good quality refiller ink it should have the instructions with it. I just had second thoughts and looked up the instructions. Go to http://www.jettecrefill.com and enter the cartridge name in the search field for detailed instructions.
