im going my first anime convention in jacob javits center in april, can you please tell me what i have to do and stuff, will i make friends there?

I am an anime mother. I shepherded my daughter and her friends to several anime conventions.
Yes you can make friends there. My daughter made a lot of friends. However until she was over 18 I went and volunteered. I got to know all the security staff and made sure they kept an eye out for my daughter and her friends.
Many are good people but there are some that do stupid things like forget to take their medicine.
See if you can get a friend from your school to go with you. There is safety in numbers.
There is a dealer's room to buy things. There is probably panels with authors and artists. Generally an artist row with amateur artists.
The easiest place to meet people is in the hallways where they are hanging out. Chat about their costumes. Ask questions.
Check their website for message boards. You might even make a friend before the convention.
If your budget is tight bring along snacks in a bag. Food at hotels is expensive. You might supplement your snacks with a local fast food near the hotel.

Just go and have a good time, you will find alot of people who enjoy the same things you do. Make sure you work hard on your costume and you'll get attention too!
You will most definately make friends so long as you just talk and the like! Remember at an anime convention! Talk about ANIME!

Just find people who have the same interestes as you, it's not that hard, then once you do talk to them about something, or try this, ask them for the time, and then if they are wearing a costume of the Anime Naruto or anything you are familar with, ask them about it, then that should spark a conversation.

Chris you are WAY stressing out over this--just GO to the convention and have fun! It's not as complicated as you're making it out to be. You'll enjoy yourself, just relax.

Find people who like naruto (people in sakura, ino, sasuke etc costumes) u will make friends if u act like urself (unless u r a creepy pervert)
