You could have had a missed miscarriage. That is where the baby just stops growing at one point during the pregnancy. They definitely should have been able to see a baby if you are that far, or your dates could just be off. Wait a week or two and ask them to do another ultrasound. You should be able to see and hear the babys heartbeat by now. Good luck sweetie!

Hello,

Please don't panic, I think its rather bad that the Dr let you leave without reassuring you.

The same thing happened to me when I was pregnant with my second daughter. The radiographer just sneered and said I can't see a baby I don't know if you are pregnant or not or if you have lost the child!! I was told later by my Dr and mid wife (on separate visits) it was because some fetus's are smaller than others.

3 months is still very early. Are you sure of your dates? When you go to your next scan you will be able to see the baby. Make sure your bladder is full when you go for a scan as this helps push the uterus up to get a better view of baby.

Please relax and enjoy your pregnancy, if you are still worried speak to your Dr and/or midwife.

Congratulations

Lena x

At 3 months they should have been able to see the baby, see the arms, legs, head, etc, as a baby is fully developed by that stage, just small. Have you been on any medication that could have caused a + result? There are some medications that have HCG in them that can give false positives.

Cuz the baby is the size of a walnut! Seriously, the reason ultrasounds are usually done until the second trimester is the kid's are just too small to make out any really relevant details. Relax, breathe, and go back in a couple of months for another

did they see anything? a sack, a fetal pole, anything? Did they tell you there was no baby, or did it just not look like a baby. very confused by your question. by the way, weight has nothing to do with it. I'm overweight and we saw baby at 9 weeks on an u/s....stupid people..sheesh

A) The doctor doesnt know exactly what their doing. B) The baby is hiding or two small at this point to see or worst case C) The tests were wrong or your miscarrying.

The baby could be too small-you may be earlier then suspected..as long as they can find a heart beat dont worry-stress is never good for a pregnancy, congrats too!
