Why does everyone keep bringing up religion when they talk about electing a President, do you just pick and choose which part of the Constitution you will listen to? Separation of Church and State. That is why we can't have prayer in school, that is why the people that make our laws can't pray before they sit down to a session, and we can't have nativity scene front of the court house. Get it right people, religion is for personal balance, he will need accountants, and a lot of them the balance out this mess that GB II has left behind, and you all know that all the "good" accountants are Jewish, so were does that leave them?

It's not that he is a baptist minister that is a problem for me. It's the far right fundamentalist groups that will influence him in decisions that are made. Imagine someone like Pat Robertson helping Huckabee decide policy. You know, the guy who said natural disasters were God's punishment for gays.
Church and state must become more separate then it is now, and Huckabee would only make it one.

It's just me's real name must be Pollyanna. We've all seen how much the current guy respects his oath of office.
A President's Religion becomes relevant when he puts it ahead of his loyalty to the Constitution. I wouldn't want a Shiite Muslim in the Oval Office either.

I really wouldn't be comfortable having a religious NUT in the white house. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and way of doing things. Leave the Liberals alone and vice versa.

I don't see why the religion of the President is relevent. The President takes an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and to lead all of us. Not just those of their particular religion.

Huckabee is a waste of space, I certainly hope he doesn't get the nomination, the dems would rip him a new ****** in the general election

I don't see the relevance of the President's religious beliefs in relation to job performance.
