As a man, I hate to see women cry. If it is a man I dislike, it depends what he was crying about, then maybe I wouldn't feel so bad but I wouldn't like it. Last time I made someone cry I pushed my brother down the stairs 4 years ago accidentally. Any recent event I can't recall. The last time I cried because of a woman 2 months ago when my girlfriend dumped me. Crying is a strange and powerful thing.

I don't cry, don't know why exactly.

Maybe because I learnt as a kid that crying doesn't actually change anything or make it better. So I haven't cried in the past 36 years. And yes I've lost relatives -and a partner in a car crash.

Do I feel I'm lacking something? I can't answer that, I don't miss what I've only got vague memories of doing long ago.

I am good in a crisis though, I don't get upset or fall apart easily. And I'm not unemotional, my empathy skills are very good & I'm articulate in expressing how I feel at any time, I just can't cry.

I am surprised at how easily others seem to do it, also at what sets them off. Men in particular. Football! hey, its just a game.

Hello,
As I watched a DVD about a little boy who was being sponsored, it made me cry. It was so sad where this little chap said how he gets beaten. The DVD is on Utube but I saw it in our church. The sponsor organisation is www.compassionuk.org
I am 62 years old, and yes there are times that I cry. I work in a school and sometimed the struggles of some of the children make me cry too.
There is nothing wrong with a man crying, it just shows he has feeling.
