Seriously, NASA has a public image problem--and its self-inflicted. This isn't new--people have been pointing this out for years.

Stop and think: we live in a society where a guy made a million selling "pet rocks" a few years ago and a fluff show like "American Idol" manufactures "stars" on an assembly line.

Now here's NASA. What have they got to sell?

Exploration. Adventure. Genuine heros--and heroines. Spectacular images. Fast machines. Cutting edge technology. New places. New discoveries. Drama. Excitement. Etc. etc. etc.

And its all REAL. Any third-rate hack from madison Avenue would get stinking rich with a product like that to sell!

Maybe they should start with a girlie calender. At least its better than whatever they're doing now! :)
